Active Duty Military, Veterans, and Families Addiction Treatment Program in North & South Dakota

Veterans, active-duty military members, and their families are nearly twice as vulnerable to addiction and compulsive gambling as the general population. As part of our commitment to providing exceptional care for those in need, we offer a specialized military treatment track for individuals and families who currently serve or have served our country.

What We Treat

Learn about our specialty military program

At Keystone Treatment Center, we provide transformative treatment for our clients who are struggling with addiction. For many people who have served in the military, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or other mental health concerns can often co-occur with a substance use disorder.

Our treatment philosophy is based on the belief that challenges with addiction should be addressed as the first step in successful care for PTSD or any other mental illness.

We help veterans, active-duty military members, and their families find a balance of mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual harmony. This requires us to identify previous trauma and introduce the transition from a wounded past to recovered healing.

The Treatment Experience

Why Choose Us

Read about the factors that differentiate our military program

We can provide treatment to active-duty military and former members of all military branches at Keystone Treatment Center. Our military-friendly program features care provided by a team of dedicated professionals who understand the unique challenges and struggles faced by those who are currently serving, have served in the past, or the loved ones who support them. To make our military-friendly program accessible, we hold network participation contracts with various awarded administrators like HealthNet Federal Services (for TRICARE West Region beneficiaries) and United Behavioral Health/Optum (for veterans accessing care through the Community Care Network in Region 2).

Anyone enrolled in our military-friend program has access to additional supports like a weekly veterans’ circle with county veteran service officer (CVSO) that we host. Some veterans also have weekly meetings with the veteran service center in Sioux Falls.

Our military-friendly program isn’t the only specialty treatment tracks we offer. We also provide specialty treatment for Native Americans, Christians, individuals who are struggling with opioid and methamphetamine addiction, law enforcement and other first responders, and medical and legal professionals.

We treat each client as the unique individual they are, developing a personalized treatment plan to empower them at each stage of the recovery process. At the completion of treatment, all clients receive a personalized aftercare plan that contains community resources and information that will help them maintain the progress.

Thank you Keystone!  You gave me the tools for a great life through the tools, including the 12 steps and my renewed Spirituality Program... Last Friday I received my 34 year chip. It was an awesome feeling to share that with all the people I love and have met along the way through my journey of recovery.
