One Recovery
For years, folks entering into early recovery in rural communities have been challenged to find regular meetings to receive the necessary support of recovery fellowship that helps so much for each of us to establish our firm foundations. In 2011, Keystone partnered with the best online recovery community to offer free of charge an online recovery community that can help with challenges to get to meetings
One Recovery was established by some friends who were saddened to see so few of their treatment peers make it to their first anniversary in sobriety. The website is a wonderful support for people in recovery, and though it should not be seen as a replacement for face to face meetings and sponsorship, it can help uniquely during those times when getting to a meeting might be difficult. Anonymity is perfectly protected in that all interactions online are conducted with a screen name and an individual only needs to share an email address and that selected screen name to begin. Once an email request is received by the administrator, a confirming email is sent in return to launch participation. Again, there is no fee for this service and you can connect with not only Keystone alumni in our special section of One Recovery, but One Recovery has more than 20,000 total members nationwide.
